Reporting to the Frontend Team Lead, the Senior Frontend Developer will join our Frontend Team based in Oslo, Norway. For this role we accept remote positions, but some travel to our headquarters in Oslo will be required, as well as communicating with your European based colleagues.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on how the Exabel product evolves, and assist in making important technological decisions for front-end development. You will work in the full product lifecycle in close cooperation with our product and backend teams, participating in daily standups, design and implementation workshops, as well as releasing and supporting our product.

Our models are based on AI and advanced mathematics, and an important task will be to create intuitive interfaces between the models and human decision-makers. Our main product principle is "Usability first", and you will be working closely with our excellent teams of professionals within engineering, quants, product, partnerships, and ops to deliver a high-end product for the finance industry.

Core responsibilities:

Create visual tools for exploring, presenting and modeling data related to financial markets
Create intuitive interfaces between the models and human decision-makers
Implement new features in the front-end that connect with the back-end
Assist in making technological decisions regarding the front-end
Stay on top of emerging front-end technology

We’re looking for someone who has:

A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent fields
3-5+ years of experience delivering high-quality applications for the web
Extensive experience with React
Worked on at least one long-term project where you have participated in all areas of application development life-cycle
An eye for design and strive to create excellent user experiences

Ideally, you also have some experience with:

Data visualization in frameworks such as Highcharts or similar
Cloud solutions

We aim to keep the process smooth and uncomplicated. Once we have reviewed your application we will be setting interviews with your team leader and if proceeding a followup interview with team members.

We like for everyone to participate in a code test or a business case presentation. It gives us a better glimpse at your skills and strengths.

Week one at Exabel may look something like this:

Your workstation will have been ordered ahead of time (by your specs, of course), so you can be up and running by day one.
You’ll get to know the team and what people are working on by having a one‐on‐one coffee (or a tea, or juice, or your beverage of choice) with everybody on the team.
You will be introduced to “the julekalender”, which outlines the company’s goals for the next few years (and equally importantly, what happens when each goal is reached).
