It fulfils a growing need in financial markets: while use of data – including fundamental, market, proprietary and alternative data – is critical for investment managers, modeling such data in house has become an excessive use of time and resources for all but the very largest investment firms.

This is a position to expand the platform team within Engineering at Exabel. The platform team is responsible for our cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud Projects, and also develops APIs and micro services that are consumed by other services, our own front-end applications, and by our partners and customers. We run most of our services in an Istio service mesh managed by Google Kubernetes Engine, and APIs are developed using gRPC. Scalability and high quality is key to everything in the Exabel platform, as well as short turnaround using CI/CD.

The Engineering team is a DevOps team using agile methodologies. Be prepared for your part on support duty as well, since we all share that responsibility.

Site Reliability Engineer Job Responsibilities:

Help design and implement our architecture for scalability and reliability
Work on our CI/CD pipeline
Work on our monitoring and alerting tools
Scaling our cloud deployments
Handling incidents (when on support duty)

Site Reliability Engineer Qualifications / Skills:

Experience with SRE in GCP for SaaS solutions.
Experience with API (REST/gRPC) and software development (Java/Python)
Self-driven
Good communication skills, written and verbal

Education and Experience Requirements:

Master’s or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

5-plus years of relevant experience

We aim to keep the process smooth and uncomplicated. Once we have reviewed your application we will be setting interviews with your team leader and if proceeding a followup interview with team members.

Week one at Exabel may look something like this:

Your workstation will have been ordered ahead of time (by your specs, of course), so you can be up and running by day one.
You’ll get to know the team and what people are working on by having a one‐on‐one coffee (or a tea, or juice, or your beverage of choice) with everybody on the team.
You will be introduced to “the julekalender”, which outlines the company’s goals for the next few years (and equally importantly, what happens when each goal is reached).
