The Exabel Evaluation Standard
Our team, made up of former sell-side and buy-side analysts, starts by asking the fundamental question: “What is this data actually measuring in the real world?” We don’t map metrics because they correlate; we map them because there’s a business-logic reason they should correlate.
Once those links are established, we model the relationship over time and surface the historical performance:
- Short-term metrics like MAPE and directional hit rate for recency and comparability.
- Long-term context like absolute and YoY correlations, mean-absolute error, and p-values to understand durability.
